ESX

A rugged, freely programmable 16 bit controller designed for harsh environments
ESX is a rugged standardized 16 bit controller designed especially for harsh environments. It is freely programmable (in visual programming using IEC 1131-3 graphical interface or in C) and so offers wide flexibility in applications With over 490,000 controllers in the field and 18+ years of proven reliability, ESX is suited for a wide range of industry applications, many in the toughest of environmental conditions.

The ESX contains advanced measures for EMC and a robust housing for all automobile environments as well as an ingenious grounding scheme to provide a separate analog ground for sensors.

All inputs and outputs contain internal diagnostics, with protection against voltage overload and protection against short circuiting to ground or to supply voltage. An integrated safety relay provides a master switch off to all outputs in the event of any failures. The ESX is also available in a variant that is TÜV certified for safety relevant applications (Safety Integrity Level 2).


ESX-IOXp

Freely programmable electronic control units for vehicles and machines with CAN-Bus
The ESX- IOXP is a programmable version of the IOX (IOX is a remote I/O module for both analog and digital I/O). It is a smaller, less expensive 16 bit controller with a durable plastic housing.

ESX-LT

Freely programmable electronic control units for vehicles and machines with CAN-Bus
The ESX-LT is a smaller version of our ESX controller and is well suited for mid-sized applications. Each ESX-LT has 8 digital inputs, 8 multi-function inputs, and 8 digital or PWM outputs. Multi-function inputs can be software-configured to read voltage, current, digital, or frequency input signals. Like our other controllers, the ESX-LT is designed for harsh environmental conditions, and is freely programmable, offering you unmatched flexibility.

ESX Micro

Freely programmable electronic control units for vehicles and machines with CAN-Bus
The ESX-Micro is a small but rugged and highly configurable controller with up to 10 I/O. As capable as an ESX but with only 10 I/O, this controller will serve you well as a stand alone controller or a remote I/O node.

The ESX-Micro is available in a variety of configurations to provide analog inputs or outputs, digital inputs, frequency inputs, digital outputs, and PWM outputs.

ESX-3XL

The ESX-3XL is a highly adaptable, scalable, powerful controller with up to 136 I/O points.
Its innovative expansion board architecture provides controls engineers with the flexibility to future-proof their design. Six expansion board slots can be used to add I/O and communications capabilities in the initial design or at later stages when enhanced functionality is desired. The expansion board architecture also ensures that a design is optimized for the specific requirements of the mobile application without sacrificing durability.

The ESX-3XL provides up to 136 software-configurable inputs and outputs. Due to the modular design, 72 of the 136 inputs and outputs are customizable and can be configured for any application.

ESX-3XM

The ESX-3XM is a highly adaptable, scalable, powerful controller with up to 65 I/O points.
It can be considered the little brother of the ESX-3XL, with the same power and memory, but half the I/O and half the size.

The ESX-3XM provides up to 65 software-configurable inputs and outputs. Due to the modular design, 56 of the 65 inputs and outputs are customizable and can be configured for any application. The base version, with 23 inputs and outputs, provides 4 CAN interfaces and 1 RS232 serial interface. Additional CAN or RS232 interfaces, as well as other communication interfaces like USB or Ethernet can be added easily.

ESX-3CM

Freely Programmable CAN Bus Controller for Cost Optimization
The ESX-3CM, the latest addition to STW’s award winning ESX line of off highway controllers, is a freely programmable controller built for use in rugged conditions and supported by the comprehensive STW-Toolchain.

The focus of the 3CM is on cost optimization through the use of predefined configurations. The configurations available are based on STW’s extensive analysis of off highway machines in the marketplace.

ESX-DIOS/DIOM

The ESX-3XL is a highly adaptable, scalable, powerful controller with up to 136 I/O points.
The ESX DIOS/DIOM are remote I/O modules for digital I/O (DIOM is three times the size of the DIOS) that simplify the wiring harness and significiantly reduce the cost of wiring. The DIOS, contained in the ESX-Micro housing, and the DIOM, contained in the ESX-LT housing, both deliver powerful functionality with any CANopen master. The modules receive CANopen commands from a central controller and manage the IO. Four standard configurations are available.


ESX-IOX

It comes with STW industry leading quality, ruggedness and flexibility.
The ESX IOX is one of the newest additions to our family of controllers. This low-cost version is perfect for smaller applications with up to 28 I/O’s. It is a remote I/O module for both analog and digital I/O and works as a slave module that can communicate using the CANopen protocol.

ESX TC3

ESX – TC3 is a Linux Based Telematics Module with Integrated Antennas. The ESX – TC3 brings the latest in Telematics technology to the harsh environments of off-road work. It has:

  • Wireless communication by Bluetooth, WLAN and GPRS
  • A built in GPS module that continuously monitors position
  • Antennas fully integrated inside the module
  • Innovative SIM card replacement through the connector
  • An IP69K housing that works great in harsh off-road conditions
  • The module has all of the standard interfaces such as RS232, USB and ethernet

ESX TC3G

The ESX – TC3G is the latest addition to STW’s Telematics line. It is based on the highly successful ESX-TC3 controller. The major enhancements are the addition of 3G and CDMA capabilities to the existing GSM modem, the addition of GLONASS to the GPS for faster and more accurate positioning and the presence of both internal and external antennas.

The ESX-TC3G will have the same 32 bit MPC5200B 400MHz processor and 1GB of flash memory as its predecessor. The unit has an excellent array of communications options. The basic unit has two (2) CAN ports, an RS-232 port and a USB port. The communications expansion board adds a digital input and output, an accelerometer, and the option to add cellular (GSM/CDMA/3G), GPS and WLAN modems. Antennas can be internal or external – the TC3G is one of the few telematics units on the market with internal antennas. The internal antennas and a patent-pending design incorporating the SIM card into the connector allow the TC3G to meet both IP-67 and IP-69k environmental standards. The TC3G is robust and designed for working machines and highly challenging environments. This telematics control unit is suitable even for sophisticated control and gateway functions. For example, it can be used for agriculture machines, snow plowing vehicles, and other mobile machinery.
