Sensors

STW manufactures robust thin-film sensors for accurate force and pressure measurement and complete transmitters with thin-film, ceramic or silicon sensors. Our sensors are known for their reliability, accuracy and their ability to function in harsh environmental conditions.

These are used in various fields of industrial and automotive measuring technology, including novel and highly demanding applications.

In addition to the micro-structuring, coating of the thin-film sensor and the required electronics and housing, STW develops product specific hardware for installation and connection.

Inclination Sensors

IS1TK360-C-RL
The inclination sensors are suitable, according to the type, for one or two dimensional static measurement of inclinations in the standard ranges ±10°, ±30°, ±45°, ±60°, ±90° and 360°. The output values of the inclination sensors with linearized current or voltage interface can be set as needed within their regular angle range by the customers.

The compact and robust design makes the sensor a suitable angle measurement device in rough surroundings for different applications in industry and mobile technology. A simple configuration and start-up is possible by the CAN bus interface. All parameters are stored in the internal permanent memory.

IS2TK090-C-RL

Inclinometer Gyroscope Sensor

Combined sensor for the measurement of the angular velocity and the inclination angle around the respective rotation axis.

The acceleration values in the direction of the respective axis are also available. The measured values are available digitally via CAN-bus or analog on three outputs as voltage or current Signal.

Temperature Transmitter

T01
The temperature transmitter T01 has been designed for applications in mobile machines and process engineering. The EMC characteristics, the material selection as well as the shock and vibration resistance are selected especially for these areas of operation. This facilitates the application in challenging ambient conditions, such as in the field of mobile hydraulics.

The standard T01 can be used for the media temperature range of -40 °C to +150 °C. The maximum permitted media temperature is +150 °C, and the maximum storage and operating temperature is +125 °C. The parts coming into contact with media are made of stainless steel (1.4571) and guarantee, in combination with the welded temperature element, maximum media compatibility. The T01 with stainless steel housing can be ordered either with a plastic or a stainless steel connector.

Transducers

A transducer is an electronic device that converts energy from one form to another. Common examples include microphones, loudspeakers, thermometers, position and pressure sensors, and antenna. Although not generally thought of as transducers, photocells, LEDs (light-emitting diodes), and even common light bulbs are transducers

Pressure Transmitter

MO1 Analog
The pressure transmitter M01 has been especially designed for applications in mobile machines. The EMC characteristics as well as the shock and vibration resistance are selected especially for this area of applications. This facilitates applications in challenging ambient conditions, such as in the field of mobile hydraulics.The M01 is available in two different versions.

For pressure ranges of 0 … 0.25 bar there is a silicon sensing element, and for pressure ranges of 0 … 1,000 bar (up to 2,000 bar for common-rail applications) a welded thinfilm pressure cell is used. Depending on the sensing element, the max. permitted media temperature is 150 ºC / 302 °F and the ambient temperature is max. 125 ºC / 257 °F. An optional damping unit can be integrated into the media access.

M01 Can
The pressure transmitter M01-CAN has been especially designed for applications in mobile machines. The EMC characteristics as well as the shock and vibration resistance are selected especially for this area of applications. This facilitates applications in challenging ambient conditions, such as in the field of mobile hydraulics.

The M01-CAN is available in two different Versions. For pressure ranges of 0 … 0.25 bar there is a silicon sensing element, and for pressure ranges of 0 … 1,000 bar (up to 2,000 bar for common-rail applications) a welded thinfilm pressure cell is used. Depending on the sensing element, the max. permitted media temperature is 150 ºC / 302 °F and the ambient temperature is max. 125 ºC / 257 °F. The pressure transmitter has an E1-approval and is manufactured at an ISO/TS 16949-certified company using the latest manufacturing methods. The excellent price/performance ratio makes this pressure transmitter especially interesting for series production. OEM versions can also be supplied.

F02
The pressure transmitter F02 has been especially designed for application in mobile machines. The EMC characteristics as well as the shock and vibration resistance are selected especially for this area of application. This facilitates application in challenging ambient conditions, such as in the field of mobile hydraulics. The F02 can be supplied for pressure ranges of 0 … 10 bar to 0 … 1,000 bar (up to 2,000 bar for common-rail applications); in the compensated temperature range, a total accuracy of 1% is reached. The max. permitted media temperature is 125ºC, the ambient temperature is max. 85 ºC. The parts coming into contact with media are made of stainless steel and guarantee, in combination with the welded thin-film measurement cell, maximum media compatibility. An optional damping unit can be integrated into the media access. The housing is of course made of stainless steel.

The F02 is suitable for safety-critical applications, which require a PLd (Cat.2) or SIL2-Level. The pressure transmitter holds an E1-approval and is manufactured at an ISO / TS 16949-certified company using the latest manufacturing methods. The excellent price/performance ratio makes this pressure transmitter especially interesting for series production. OEM versions can also be supplied.

A08
Pressure Transmitter A08 is used for gauge pressure. It is a robust and cost-effective pressure transmitter for industrial requirements. As A08-XHT it is also available with a max. media temperature of up to 200°C.
